Description

Catholics believe the Eucharist, or Sacred Host, is both a sacrifice and a meal consecrated by a priest during the Holy Mass. Jesus’ offering of himself in his life and in his death was done perfectly and for all time; and that the Eucharist commemorates his life and death. As they receive Christ’s Body and Blood, they also are nourished spiritually and brought closer to God.

The Precious Blood is always consumed totally at the Mass, and the priest will always consume one Sacred Host, distributing others to the people.
